I finished my training in 2018 and have been working in general practice with a wide range of presenting issues at Bradford counselling service for over two years, as well as working in private practice. I work individually 1-2-1, with all genders and clients from age 18+ I’m fully insured and a registered member of the BACP, I also work in line with their ethical framework which includes having regular clinical supervision and CPD.
Whilst training, I worked in placement as a volunteer counsellor at Mosaic II in Bradford which was a specialised sexual abuse service, working with survivors and family members of those affected by sexual abuse.
Prior to that, whilst in my early training I worked as a volunteer support worker at hind Closed Doors in Leeds, a domestic abuse organisation supporting clients to understand the abuse they had suffered, make positive changes to their lives, living free from abuse and how to protect themselves from future abuse.
My goal is to work with you, to help you gain insight and understanding of yourself, your emotions and behaviours. Sometimes we become defined by external values, expectations or relationships losing our sense of self, counselling helps us to process the things we are struggling with.
